Northern Morocco located city, Fez is about to host the annual leather trade show this month. The trade show will start on 11th July and will run up to 21st July. The show aims to promote the leather industry of Fez in the international market. People who are from leatherwork and love to wear leather made products have a good opportunity to explore the rich history of the city’s leather craft industry.
The area of the trade show will be spread on 4000 square meters where 120 professionals among artisans, small and medium-sized organizations, and cooperatives, will make their presence along with many other people. The leatherwork show will include exhibition stands, a leather antique sales area with the pop up display, a design and leatherwork demonstration area. There will also be seminars and discussion rooms for leather specialists to share their views about the leather tanneries work in Fez. Some training workshop would also be provided in the show for artisans to show their skills.
According to the Ministry of Industry of Morocco, the leather industry in Fez and Morocco is very important for the state because it is providing jobs to 21,000 people every year. Also, the industry is aiding to raise the economy of the state and soon it will make a strong presence in the International Leather market. To increase the traffic into the trade show, the leather industry has made a partnership with the Ministry of Tourism of the state. Because Fez has many ancient tanneries, they are the most substantial attraction points of the tourists. Presence of the tourists in the show will promote Fez leather industry on an international level.
