Salesforce Certification is What you Need to Get an Edge on Others

During these unprecedented times, it is already very hard to find jobs, let alone get one. And if you manage to find some decent jobs, you find yourself surrounded by hundreds of competitors trying to snatch the opportunity out of your hand.

So when you are faced with rejections, you can’t help but ponder. What is it that I need? Where am I lacking? How can I get an edge on my fellow competitors?

You are not alone. This is what happens with a lot of people, especially now, during the reign of COVID. So if you are looking for an option other than poisoning your competitors, then this is where Salesforce Certification comes into play. You might have already heard of Salesforce, or it might be an uncharted territory for you, but the latter is not a problem for you.

Before you can register to be a Salesforce professional, you will need some training. If you want your Salesforce Certification Exam to be a cakewalk, you need to explore the Salesforce Training in Hyderabad. They will be your mentor and guide you every step of the way. You will also find out about the various types of Salesforce certifications, the most important among which are Admin Certification, Consultant Certification, and Platform App Builder Certification.

To give you a gist about these three important certifications, here are some important points and process involved to obtain said certifications:

  • Salesforce Admin Certification:

This particular certification is bifurcated into administrator and advanced administrator.

The former entails development of your skills on the Salesforce features and getting yourself familiar with every minuscule part of the configuration.

The latter requires you to be good in problem solving, which means that you should, if you encounter a problem involving the Salesforce platform, be able to handle that for the client as a Salesforce individual.

The exam lasts a total of 105 minutes and will cost you around 200USD.

  • Consultant Certification:

Now there are so many certifications under this category that it would be tedious to name them all. Some of them are: Community Cloud Consultant, Education Cloud Consultant, Field Service Lightning Consultant, Einstein Analytics and Discovery Consultant, etc.

Basically this certification encloses the world of Salesforce. You should be able to help the client in their needs with product campaigns, platform issues, troubleshooting, etc.

The exam lasts for a total of 105 minutes and costs about 200 USD, with the retake fee of about 100USD. There are a total of 60 Multiple Choice Questions.

  • Salesforce App Builder Certification:

To be certified in this would mean that you would have to be hands on with the plethora of applications which can be built on this platform and which can be integrated with Salesforce. You should be well equipped with designing, building, and implementing custom applications using the capabilities of the Salesforce Platform.

Duration and cost, format of the exam, etc. are basically the same. The only difference is in the type of questions you will face in any certification.

Salesforce plays a major role when it comes to Customer Relationship Management, especially cloud based CRM. Being able to get a grasp over the various platforms offered by Salesforce is an achievement in itself, but it can also prove to be quite remunerative. Many specialists are earning more than $70,000 annually.

Salesforce has offered jobs to millions of people all over the world. Working with Salesforce is a pretty big deal in itself, but according to levels.fyi, an associate Member of Technical Staff at Salesforce can earn an average salary of $117,889. You are tempted to become a part of Salesforce, aren’t you? I can see it in your eyes.

Even if you are not money driven person, mastering Salesforce can prove beneficial to you in many other ways.

After all the hype, is it really worth all the trouble?

If you plan to work in a CRM based environment, or if money is your primary motivator, or even if you are looking to learn something new in order to grow your potential, then Salesforce is the way to go. It can very well prove to be the mortar that builds the temple of your success.

Salesforce holds the potential to provide many more jobs for an indefinite period of time. So it is up to you if you want to be a part of it or not. Also, as the structure of Salesforce is similar to many other platforms, you can implement your knowledge and experience gained, outside the confines of Salesforce.

How much time would I have to give to for the training?

The training time would depend on various different factors.

  1. What type of Certification you are looking for?
  2. How many hours you can put in a day?
  3. How are you concept grasping skills?
  4. How much do you already know?
  5. How motivated are you? (Sounds like a trivial factor, but it is an important one)

Considering all the factors, it can take you a minimum of 3-4 months to acquire Salesforce Admin Skills. It can take more than 5 months to complete your Developer training, and more than 6 months to attain Salesforce Consultant skills.

According to Stratten Waldt, the CEO at Baobab Partners, the training time depends upon the individual and how far they want to go with the platform. The admin beginner trail might take nine hours in total, with the intermediate taking another 12 hours—and those, combined, will give you a solid foundation as an in-house Salesforce admin. “From there you can go on to advanced, go into the developer trailheads, focus on specific apps or technologies, really get into data, and more,” he said. “It really is what you make of it, and there are a ton of career opportunities available depending on your ability and inclination.”

But if you don’t want to go through all the trouble, you can always buy a nice big bottle of Rat Poison. Just kidding! Or am I?
