Henry Firth and Ian Theasby are the popular plant based cooks. They rose to fame when they first posted a video in 2016, on their YouTube channel and it hit 3.5 million views in one week. Since then the duo hasn’t looked back.
The BOSH Boys released their third cookbook on October 3rd, titled “How to live Vegan”. Both Henry and Ian are not professional cooks. They both had been foodies and they went vegan about 4 years ago.
In an interview with the Vegan Society they said that “we take classic dishes that we enjoyed when we ate meat and dairy and make delicious vegan alternatives.” They call themselves the remixers who like to put a different twist to classic dishes.
Their new book is for all those who want to start a vegan lifestyle but aren’t sure about where to start. Also it’s like a guidebook into the vegan world. It’s all about nutrition, store cupboard essentials, food labeling, alcohol, takeaways, fashion, beauty, travel, food packaging, and meal prep.
Being a vegan means boycotting all the animal products. Both the BOSH Boys explained how animal products were ingrained in their lives. From shampoos to clothing, it was deep embedded in their lifestyle. It took a long time to recognise it and make the small changes.
The book also answers all the controversial FAQs of the to-be vegans. Like “How to deal with non-vegan friends? ” and ” Should I wear leather if i am vegan? “. BOSH Boys have come to the rescue of the vegan world and can help many newbies ease into it.
